So I'm starting up a thread for a discussion of Pat Metheny, one of Ken's favorite artists and one of PE's favorite players as well. 1981's As Falls Witchita, So Falls Witchita Falls, with keyboardist Lyle Mays, topped the jazz charts. Also new music from Pat Metheny and from right here in San Diego, Christopher Hollyday. Esoteric Recordings is pleased to announce the release of Temple Songs – The Albums 1973 – 1975, a four-disc clamshell box set of the four albums released by the legendary band GREENSLADE between 19 Greenslade, Bedside Manners Are Extra, Spyglass Guest and Time and Tide. After recordings with Burton and fellow UM faculty member Jaco Pastorius, Metheny’s ’76 solo debut, Bright Size Life, turned a legion of guitarists’ heads.
